Manchester City new boy Bernardo Silva 'very happy' that Benfica keeper Ederson is set to join the club

Manchester City are closing in on the £35million capture of Benfica goalkeeper Ederson - and new boy Bernardo Silva has given his nod of approval ahead of the club's second signing of the summer.

Ederson arrived in Manchester on Tuesday head of his medical at the Etihad Campus, with City hoping to reach a settlement on the play's third-party ownership issues before confirming the deal.

Silva, who became Pep Guardiola's first signing of the summer when he completed a £43million move last week, played with Ederson in the Benfica youth teams - and the former Monaco midfielder is delighted the pair may be reunited in Manchester.
