Manchester City move a step closer to £39million deal for Benjamin Mendy as Monaco sign Terence Kongolo

Monaco have signed Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo in a deal that could trigger Benjamin Mendy's protracted £39million move to Manchester City.

Holland international Kongolo, who has a younger brother Rodney in Manchester City's academy, has agreed to join Monaco on a five year deal for £12million.

City have been pushing for a breakthrough on Monaco left back Mendy who wants to join them.
