Monaco have signed Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo in a deal that could trigger Benjamin Mendy's protracted £39million move to Manchester City.
Holland international Kongolo, who has a younger brother Rodney in Manchester City's academy, has agreed to join Monaco on a five year deal for £12million.
City have been pushing for a breakthrough on Monaco left back Mendy who wants to join them.
Pep Guardiola has also lined up Southampton's Ryan Bertrand as another option, should their move for Mendy not come to fruition.
