Celtic were on the brink of securing the signature of Manchester City midfielder Olivier Ntcham on Saturday night.
The 21-year-old was understood to have undergone a medical in Glasgow while the Scottish champions completed their pre-season in Dublin.
Ntcham spent the last two seasons on loan with Genoa in Serie A where he caught the eye of Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers as a potential Celtic No 10.
Genoa had an option to buy but he is set to be confirmed a Celtic player well ahead of this week’s Champions League qualifying kick-off against Linfield.
