Manchester City fans were thrown into a panic on Monday when the Washington Post tweeted that Haaland had broken a fibula.
The American newspaper inadvertently briefly caused havoc among Manchester City supporters with the tweet before the fans realised that the publication, owned by Jeff Bezos, in fact meant the US interior secretary Debra Haaland.
'It is unclear the severity of Haaland’s injury, where on the fibula the break occurred, or how long it may take for it to heal,' the paper tweeted. Choosing to exclude the politician's first name was the inadvertent mistake that likely caused many City fans to take a sharp intake of breath.
