Manchester City defence slammed by French media as L'Equipe rate their display WORSE than Monaco despite Ligue 1 leaders conceding five times

Manchester City's defenders might have wanted to quickly move on from their difficult night against Radamel Falcao and Co... but the French media aren't about to let them.

The likes of John Stones, Fernandinho and Nicolas Otamendi had an evening to forget in the Champions League clash with Monaco, conceding three goals and a penalty - which was saved by Willy Caballero.

Thankfully for their manager Pep Guardiola, City's attacking unit got their team-mates out of jail and somehow managed to establish a two-goal cushion ahead of March's second leg.
