Yves Leterme, the chief investigator of UEFA's Club Financial Control Body, has said Manchester City may be banned from the Champions League if they are found to have breached financial fair play (FFP) regulations.
An investigation into allegations that City circumvented cash flow in order to get around FFP rules is ongoing, and Leterme told Belgian publication Sport and Strategy (h/t Martyn Ziegler of the Times) that if they are found guilty of any wrongdoing, the sanctions will be severe:
