Manchester City are 'ready to rival Barcelona and make £44m bid for Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich'

Pep Guardiola is prepared to take on former club Barcelona in an effort to bring Joshua Kimmich to Manchester City, according to reports.

Bild claims that Guardiola is keen on the Bayern Munich defender and is lining up a £44million bid to rival Barca's.

The catch for both clubs is that Bayern have no desire to sell their Germany international and only a fee far in excess of what is currently being discussed is likely to change their minds.
