Manchester City have appointed the experienced Inigo Dominquez as first-team coach to complete the overhaul of Pep Guardiola’s backroom staff.
Dominquez, who has a close relationship with assistant Juanma Lillo and is a disciple of Jorge Sampaoli, joined the Treble winners just ahead of the new season.
Despite being only 44, the Spaniard has already worked under Lillo at no fewer than six clubs across the world. The pair were both born in the same town, Tolosa, with Dominquez a youngster when Lillo took charge of the local club in the mid-1980s.
