As the professional game continues on its unstoppable march into the future, Manchester City have announced that their latest batch of big-money signings are in fact robots.
Indeed, City have signed a partnership deal with Ubtech Robotics that will see a trio of humanoid bots employed to entertain fans by singing songs and performing dance routines in and around the Etihad on matchdays.

"Partnering with Ubtech, who are a world leader in their field and share our passion for innovation and cooperation, is a natural fit for Manchester City," said Tom Glick, the club's chief commercial officer.
