Rangers have confirmed Manchester City academy director Mark Allen as their new director of football.
Tuesday's appointment of the 54-year-old Welshman ends a lengthy search for a figure to work side by side with coach Pedro Caixinha on the restructuring of the club’s football set-up.
Allen spent seven years at City, overseeing the development of the £200million Etihad Campus.
Describing the new man as a ‘great asset’ to the Ibrox club, managing director Stewart Robertson said: ‘We are delighted Mark has agreed to move to Glasgow and become our new director of football.
