Manchester City will make a late decision on captain Vincent Kompany’s fitness on Tuesday before flying to Germany for their Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Kompany is a major doubt for the Group C tie after suffering concussion in Saturday’s win at Crystal Palace following a collision with City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
The 30-year-old Belgian defender has since been monitored by the club’s medical staff who will make a final decision on Tuesday morning over whether he can travel with the rest of the squad.
It’s the latest setback for Kompany who has been plagued by muscle injuries over the last couple of years, putting his future at City in some doubt.
