Manchester City would love one of Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku or Erling Haaland to replace Sergio Aguero this summer, but Danny Ings is also on their radar to the surprise of many supporters.
Aguero is a difficult player to replace given his 257 goals in 384 games for City, but Ally McCoist believes the Southampton striker would be a “great” acquisition and would “score more goals” than City’s current centre-forwards.
He said on talkSPORT Breakfast: “I think he would score more goals than the centre forwards Manchester City play there at the moment.
