Manchester City are on the hunt for a left-back this summer as Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko have uncertain futures at the Etihad Stadium – Mendy is no longer commanding a starting place under Pep Guardiola while the City boss would like to upgrade Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Daily Star say City are expected ‘to make an offer’ for David Alaba. The 28-year-old ‘prefers’ a move to Spain amid interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid, but the two clubs are ‘struggling financially’ would could kill their hopes of landing his signature.
