Teenager Rico Lewis is set to land a whopping 400 per cent salary increase in a new deal at Manchester City, as Pep Guardiola's side begin to focus on their future without Portuguese international Joao Cancelo.
Cancelo, who completed his sudden and bitter exit to Bayern Munich on loan last week, is not expected to return to the Etihad at the end of the season after falling out with Guardiola over a lack of game time.
Although Cancelo featured in 26 games across all competitions for City before his departure, the star was used less frequently by Guardiola than in recent seasons, with the Spanish boss keen to give more opportunities to 18-year-old Lewis, who had impressed on his chance.
