Brighton’s Marc Cucurella is attempting to force through his move to Manchester City by handing in a transfer request.
The left-back has made his intention to join the Premier League champions clear despite negotiations between the two clubs hitting a roadblock.
Fabrizio Romano, who reported Cucurella’s transfer request, notes there is a ‘big gap’ between the clubs in valuation of the Spaniard as Brighton won’t budge from their £50 million demands.
City’s best offer thus far is believed to be around £30 million and Brighton have offered Cucurella a new contract in the hopes he’ll remain at the Amex Stadium.
