Man City stars including Raheem Sterling and Benjamin Mendy hint they're against European Super League plans by retweeting club account post in which manager Pep Guardiola asked why owners had not emerged to answer questions amid fan fury

A number of Manchester City players have signalled their opposition to the European Super League by retweeting a post from the club's official account quoting manager Pep Guardiola's views.

Aymeric Laporte, Benjamin Mendy, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez were among the City stars who retweeted and liked the post, though the retweets were later deleted from their accounts.

It came after Guardiola hammered the concept of the Super League, saying 'sport is not sport when it doesn't matter if you lose'.
