According to Dan Roan of BBC Sport, Manchester City have withdrawn from the European Super League as Pep Guardiola publicly spoke out against the move.
The Sky Blues had agreed to join Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in one league, but they’ve made a U-turn on the decision after widespread backlash and the comments of Guardiola.
Pep recently said in a press conference: “If you ask me (why) these teams have been selected, I don’t know the reason why.
