Manchester City are on the hunt for a new left-back as Benjamin Mendy could be on his way out this summer and one player they have on their radar is Nuno Mendes. The 18-year-old is a rising star at Sporting and has already made 35 appearances in the first-team (Transfermarkt), so his future looks bright.
Sporting are aware of all the interest in Mendes and tied him down to a five-year deal in December 2020 that includes a €70m (£60m) release clause, so the Portuguese international won’t be an easy player to sign. Record (h/t Sport Witness) say City could use Pedro Porro as a makeweight in any deal.
