Manchester City are reportedly finalising a deal to sign Argentinian wonderkid Claudio Echeverri from River Plate for a fee of £22 million.
The 17-year-old is one of the most promising talents to come out of Argentina and Pep Guardiola's side have acted quick to secure his signature, like they did with that of Julian Alvarez from River Plate before.
As reported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the documents for the deal are being exchanged between the Citizens and River Plate to seal the agreement.
However, Guardiola will not get his hands on the youngster immediately as Romano revealed that Echeverri will star at River Plate until December 2024.
