Man City have reached a £29.4million agreement with Palmeiras to sign centre back Vitor Reis.
The Brazilian defender will link up with Pep Guardiola's side immediately rather than stay in Brazil for the Club World Cup.
Palmeiras president Leila Pereira had confirmed City made an official bid last week which fell short of their valuation but talks continued.
The signing of the 19-year-old, who can also play right-back, comes as a boost to City as Kyle Walker pushes for his move to Milan.
