Lyon Women 0-1 Manchester City Women (3-2 agg): Carli Lloyd goal not enough as Citizens fail to reach Women's Champions League final

Manchester City Women beat Lyon 1-0 in the second leg of their Women's Champions League semi-final at Park OL but they missed out on June's showpiece in Cardiff after a 3-2 aggregate defeat.

Carli Lloyd broke the deadlock for City in the 57th minute when Lyon goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi played the ball straight to the American, who fired back past her into the net.

However, it was too little for the Citizens to progress after their hopes of reaching a maiden final were slim at best having fallen to a 3-1 defeat in the first leg.
