Liverpool are reportedly preparing to launch an audacious £35million summer bid to bring Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips to Anfield.
Phillips has been an outcast in Pep Guardiola's squad since moving to the Etihad from Leeds last summer, making just 16 appearances in all competitions and not a single Premier League start.
Liverpool are assessing the market of available midfielders after being declared out of the running for Jude Bellingham and will now attempt to sign Phillips, according to the Daily Star.
The proposed price Liverpool are apparently willing to offer would see City lose £10m on the fee they initially payed to relegation-threatened Leeds.
