Liverpool and Man City 'hold transfer talks' with PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo, despite the Netherlands international being 'on the verge of signing new long-term deal with the Dutch side until 2026'

Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing PSV Eindhoven's young talent Cody Gakpo in summer and have held talks with the Dutch international.

The winger is expected to sign a new long-term deal with the Dutch side which would run until 2026.

But top European sides have not been deterred as Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Liverpool are all said to be monitoring the 22-year-old, according to Voetbal International, via The Hard Tackle.

Gakpo has reportedly held talks with both Liverpool and Manchester United but has yet to decide which Premier League club will be his future destination.
