Kyle Walker sends apologies to boss Pep Guardiola, director of football Txiki Begiristain and fans after troubled Manchester City star flouted lockdown laws three times to entertain call girl and visit his mother and sister

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has been writing to the club’s supporters to apologise for flouting lockdown rules.

Walker has twice been caught in breach of Government social distancing rules in recent weeks, once by entertaining a call girl at his flat and then by visiting his mother and sister in Yorkshire.

Sportsmail understands that Walker has been stung by the criticism his actions prompted, and was so upset to hear City fans had emailed the club to complain about him that he has been messaging them back. He sent one supporter a match shirt.
