Toni Kroos has revealed he had a part to play over who Real Madrid should bring off the bench to inspire their incredible comeback against Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final.
The German midfielder was the first player to be hooked off by Carlo Ancelotti with 22 minutes of the game left to play, with Brazilian forward Rodrygo coming on in his place.
Manchester City took the lead just five minutes later, and Ancelotti had some big calls to make with his side needing two goals in 17 minutes plus stoppage time to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
