Manchester City legend Francis Lee has predicted their struggling £47million youngster John Stones will turn out to be a world-class defender like his former England team-mate Bobby Moore.
Lee, who was also City's chairman between 1994 and 1997, says he sees plenty of similarities between the legendary World Cup-winning captain and Stones, despite Pep Guardiola's summer signing being dropped for City's last game against Watford with no assurances he will face Arsenal on Sunday.
'I don't care what anyone says, John Stones is going to become an outstanding player,' said Lee. 'I played against Bobby Moore many times in club football and also played with him for the England team on around 20 occasions, and John has all the attributes to be in his class.
