Jadon Sancho pulled on his England shirt and sent his Under 17 team-mates a video message from Germany ahead of their final against Spain.
It came after the starlet was called back by Borussia Dortmund, who then used him as a late substitute in their Bundesliga draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.
After scoring three goals and assisting twice in the group games, Sancho was forced to leave the England squad, but did his part ahead of Saturday's showdown in Kolkata.
'Jadon sent us a video before the game of him in his England shirt trying to get us motivated and that was really nice,' captain Joel Latibeaudiere told Sportsmail.
