'It tried to give players seven Ferraris rather than six': LaLiga boss Javier Tebas slams 'dead' Super League but WON'T punish Real Madrid and Barcelona... as Premier League weigh up Big Six action

The president of the Spanish League, Javier Tebas, said the European Super League was only about greed and that curbs on spending, not the quest for more income, was what was needed.

‘If you give these clubs more money the players will have seven Ferraris instead of six,’ Tebas said. ‘The controls on spending is what is needed, not more income.’

Asked if he thought Real Madrid and Barcelona would be able to afford big signings in the future he said: ‘The most important thing for Real Madrid and Barcelona to be able to make important signings is that Manchester City and PSG don’t do anything strange within financial fairplay.
