Ilkay Gundogan has cast doubt over the benefit of Manchester City wrapping up the title early to concentrate on the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola’s side could be crowned champions at home against bitter rivals Manchester United on April, the earliest any team has won the Premier League.
But Gundogan is unsure what impact that could have on concentration levels as City bid to reach the latter stages in Europe.
‘I don't know if it would be good to win the league that early,’ Gundogan said.
