Brescia owner Massimo Cellino conceded he made a 'mistake' in bringing Mario Balotelli to his hometown club, with the former Manchester City striker set to leave at the end of the season.
Balotelli was raised in the region and despite struggling to settle in England and France, there was real hope he could lead his hometown team in Serie A and help keep them up.
But Cellino admits both he and Balotelli, who is under contract until 2022, 'made a mistake' in thinking it would work out.
'I think we both made a mistake,' Cellino told the BBC's World Football programme.
