Willy Caballero's penalty save in the extraordinary 5-3 Champions League victory over Monaco marked the culmination of an incredible resurrection for the Manchester City goalkeeper.
A year earlier, some City fans signed an online petition to try to persuade then-boss Manuel Pellegrini to leave the cup keeper out of the Capital One Cup final and select first-choice Joe Hart instead. Caballero played, collected a winners' medal and is now the City No. 1.
In a whirlwind 12 months, Pellegrini and Hart have been moved on to China and Italy respectively while Caballero is now ahead of £17 million Chile international Claudio Bravo as Pep Guardiola's first-choice keeper at the Etihad.
