Manchester City have broken their transfer record with the £57million signing of centre back Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao.
Laporte, 23, has put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal to finalise his move to England.
The Frenchman's arrival surpasses the record fee previously set by Kevin De Bruyne, whose transfer cost City £54m from Wolfsburg back in 2015.
Since the advent of the Premier League back in 1992, the Sky Blues have broken their transfer record 10 times.
