Fenerbahce have distanced themselves from a move for Dani Alves as the Brazil right back prepares to sign for Manchester City.
Alves, 34, is set to link up with Pep Guardiola again at the Etihad Stadium but attracted interest from across Europe including from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Fener, though, have publicly stated that they were never keen on signing Alves – telling supporters talk of such a move is simply a 'lie'.
Reports in Turkey had linked the Turkish Super Lig side with an approach for Alves but Fenerbahce refute those claims.
