Manchester City are still confident of signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur before the summer transfer window shuts, but the Daily Telegraph say they’re being met with a lot of resistance from Spurs’ chairman.
Daniel Levy is believed to have given Kane a verbal agreement in 2019/20 that he would be sold if Tottenham underachieved the next season, but he appears to have broken such a promise.
City have lodged a bid worth £125m which would break the British record they set when signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, but Levy is refusing to sell and has been ignoring calls about Kane for some time.
