Everton have reportedly shut down West Ham's attempts to take Michael Keane on loan for the season.
After selling Issa Diop to Fulham for £15million, the Hammers are short of centre-back options as Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna and new arrival Nayef Aguerd are all currently out injured.
David Moyes was forced to start full-back Ben Johnson in the centre of defence in the team's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season.
According to The Sun, Moyes has tried to raid his former club Everton as he searches for reinforcements, but has been unsuccessful in his bid to sign Keane, 29.
