Manchester City made a winning return to Premier League football after their exploits on the global stage with a determined 3-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.
The home side got themselves in front after only 29 minutes through Jack Harrison and were well worth their lead at the break.
But City responded as champions do with goals from the magnificent Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva.
