Former Manchester City star Shaun Goater insists he would talk to Erling Haaland's father Alfie, an ex team-mate of his, if he was asked to do so by the Premier League champions.
Borussia Dortmund forward Haaland is one of the most in-demand players across Europe and has a £65m release clause which becomes active next summer.
With pundits such as Gary Nevile insisting City need a world-class striker, having missed out on Harry Kane in the summer, Haaland is reportedly top of their list and Goater told The Sun that he would do what he could to bring in an 'exceptional buy.
