Manchester City have completed the signing of Brazilian under-20 international Douglas Luiz, who has signed a five-year contract with the club after joining from Vasco Da Gama.
The Citizens announced the signing via their website on Saturday, and director of football Txiki Begiristain said: "We are pleased to welcome Douglas. He is an exciting player with great potential, and everyone here is looking forward to helping him develop his talent and progress in the game."
ESPN FC's Jonathan Smith on Wednesday reported the central midfielder's acquisition cost City £10 million and that Luiz will be loaned to City sister club Girona, who will make their return to La Liga after gaining promotion last season.
