Daniel Sturridge makes awkward gaffe live on Sky Sports during Liverpool's win over Man City as presenter David Jones is forced to correct him

Daniel Sturridge was left wishing he could hit the rewind button after making a blunder during Liverpool's 2-0 win at Manchester City.

The former England star was one of the pundits on Sky Sports' Super Sunday show as his old sides clashed at the Etihad Stadium.

Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai were on target in the first half as Liverpool moved 11 points clear of Arsenal, with Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane declaring the title race over.

Sturridge has brought a refreshing sense of humour and energy to his punditry but slipped up at half-time when presenter David Jones asked if he could see City mounting a comeback.
