John Terry has revealed that he interviewed for the Newcastle job after leaving Aston Villa as assistant coach, a role that ultimately went to Eddie Howe.

Terry spent almost all of his playing career at Chelsea, where he is regarded as one of the biggest legends at Stamford Bridge, moving only to Aston Villa for one final season in the Championship.

He retired as one of the more decorated players at the Blues, with a Champions League crown, five Premier League and FA Cups, three League Cups, a Europa League and a couple of Community Shields.
