Ligue 1 club Nice are closing in on the capture of Celtic target and Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts, according to reports in France.
Roberts spent 18 months on loan at Celtic, a spell which finished at the end of last season, and Brendan Rodgers is desperate to have him back.
But the Scottish champions look set to miss out on re-signing the 20-year-old winger, who now appears bound for France.
According to Nice-Matin, the French side are in the process of working overtime to finalise Roberts' move from Manchester City and a deal could be reached soon
Nice are due to play Napoli in their Champions League play-off round tie and want to register Roberts in their squad, which must be submitted by midnight on Monday
The south coast club were in fine form last term and finished a lofty third in Ligue 1, helped by the goals of Mario Balotelli.
