Vincent Kompany will go head-to-head with his former Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola on the first day of next season, with newly-promoted Burnley set to host the Premier League champions at Turf Moor on Friday, August 11.
The Clarets dominated the Championship last campaign and finished the season with an impressive tally of 101 points, benefitting from Kompany's expansive and positive style of play during the Belgian's debut season at the club.
After hosting the Treble winners, Burnley will travel to fellow Premier League newcomers Luton before two consecutive matches at Turf Moor against Aston Villa and Tottenham.
