Manchester City are breathing a little too much life into their dead rubbers. They're making it all a bit too interesting, a bit too competitive. The old City of a few weeks back bashed up guys like this. They played with their food. But not at the moment. Not playing like this.
And that is a worry. Not a massive concern because, again, dead rubbers. But it is worthy of consideration when they creep past a team like Newcastle by the odd goal in seven and then get beaten from 2-0 up against Brighton, 10 days after losing a lead in defeat at home to Chelsea.
