Borussia Monchengladbach dismayed at Wednesday night rescheduling of postponed Manchester City clash

German fans were left confused and angry on Tuesday night after Manchester City's Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach was called off at the last minute.

Fierce thunderstorms in Manchester forced the city's Metrolink to close and led to safety concerns over areas around the Etihad Stadium.

The Group C game will be played on Wednesday night at 7.45pm after City rushed to put stewarding and policing plans in place.

Pep Guardiola's side are at home to Bournemouth at 3pm on Saturday so the 24-hour delay is unlikely to pose the Premier League leaders much of a problem.
