Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said recently that it is important to uphold the tradition of the English Christmas schedule but complained the fixture list does not protect the players. The Spanish tactical mastermind expanded by saying that footballers are artists that simply cannot play every two days and warned: 'we're going to end up killing the players!'
