Sander Berge and James McAtee struck either side of half-time to move Sheffield United level on points with leaders Burnley despite a Marvin Ekpiteta strike, as Blackpool move further down to 23rd after the 2-1 Championship loss.
Berge got the Blades off to a brilliant start with his 18th-minute strike from inside the box, assisted by Iliman Ndiaye, with the side starting the day second in the table heading into the break ahead.
Manchester City loanee McAtee then doubled the lead four minutes after the break again assisted by Ndiaye, before defender Ekpiteta got Blackpool back on level pegging on 55 minutes.
