In Bernardo Silva, Manchester City will be signing a player who arrives at the end of the best season of his career, according to former team-mate Ricardo Carvalho.
Pep Guardiola's side have agreed a £60million deal for the Monaco star, who will sign a five-year contract at the Etihad once he has completed a medical, having flown in to Manchester on Thursday to complete his move.
Carvalho played alongside Silva before leaving Monaco at the end of last season, eventually moving to China, but was watching from afar as his former team-mates stormed to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
