Ben Chilwell is UNLIKELY to leave Chelsea this week - with Man United not pursuing a deal and the unwanted left back's £200,000-a-week wages proving a stumbling block for any last-minute loan switch

Chelsea left back Ben Chilwell is likely to remain at Chelsea beyond Friday's transfer deadline.

The 27-year-old has been banished to Chelsea's 'bomb' squad by Enzo Maresca, with the Italian manager admitting he will need to go move elsewhere for first team football.

Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Chilwell, but Mail Sport understands the Red Devils are not pursuing a deal.

And Chilwell's wages are also set to prove a stumbling block for any potential last-minute loan deal.

Chilwell put pen to paper on a new contract until 2027 at Chelsea last April, with the club increasing his salary to over £200,000-a-week.
