Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed he asked for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola's advice regarding the club's new manager.
Bayern axed head coach Carlo Ancelotti in September after a poor start to the season.
The German champions are now looking for a new manager and they have been linked with ex Barcelona boss Luis Enrique and former Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.
And now Bayern's president, Hoeness, has revealed he spoke with Guardiola – who managed the club for three seasons from 2013 to 2016 – about who to appoint.
"It was a friendly meeting between us and of course we exchanged ideas," Hoeness is quoted as saying by Diario Sport
"I informed him who we will be appointing and this will be announced in the coming days, but he approved of the decision.
