Barcelona 'hold crisis talks after woeful Champions League campaign as Joan Laporta vows to provide funds to Xavi to improve his ailing squad - with signing Manchester City's Ferran Torres his priority despite club's debt'

The fallout of Barcelona's embarrassing exit out of the Champions League on Wednesday night has continued with the club's hierarchy having reportedly held a meeting as a result the following day.

Barca were dumped out of the group stages of the competition after a chastening 3-0 defeat at Bayern Munich - meaning they will be playing in the Europa League for the first time since 2003 (when it was known as the UEFA Cup).

And according to Sport, manager Xavi and club president Joan Laporta met up at the club's Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training base to discuss how to turn around the fortunes of the Spanish giants.
